Retailer Privilege Comic Review #36

Back with a new, shorter, to the point format, it’s Retailer Privilege Comic Review. Something major happens in Batman Inc, The Punisher’s war with The Avengers comes to a head and Image drops another interesting book with Five Weapons. All this and more on this week’s show.

The book to check out this week: Five Weapons Book One: Jade the Blade by Jimmie Robinson (Writer/Artist)

Tyler Shinline is the new guy at the School of Five Weapons. It’s a hard gig when it happens for most people. It’s especially hard when your new school is a private school for professional assassins’ kids. Tyler is thrown into the deep end early in the book, with run-ins with Principal O, the President of the Knife Club, Miss Jade and The Nurse, it’s clear that Tyler is going to have an interesting time in case over the course of this 5 issue story. While interesting premises are nothing new for most of Image Comics’ output, this one is already a very interesting and multi-tiered story. The little background on Tyler’s parents, (especially his dad) the five weapon clubs and the scene closing the book makes this the story I’m looking forward to continuing the more this week. Try and find this one at your local comic store and pick your club.
