New on Netflix – February 2013

We all know what Netflix is, but we never know what to watch. Without a great way to keep track of all the new titles available to watch instantly it’s pretty easy to overlook something awesome. But have no fear - Panels On Pages is here to keep you up to date on the coolest options New on Netflix.

Welcome back, PoP!ulation! How’d you like that Superbowl, huh? Pretty cool when that one guy got the ball and threw it to that other guy, and then the third guy was all like “ooooooohhhh” and then…well….I don’t want to spoil it if you haven’t seen it yet. Anyways, February is already here, and there is no better way to spend the worst month of the year than by watching all the newest Netflix offerings since the last time we spoke.

Ferris Bueller’s Day Off - In case you need a reminder that you’ll never, EVER, be as cool as Ferris Bueller.

Dr. Seuss’ The Lorax - Starring Danny Devito, as himself!

Once Upon a Time in Mexico - Soon to be followed by the sequel, Once Upon a Time in Arizona: The Jason Kerouac Story.

Everything of Nothing: The Untold Story of 007 - I have no joke for this. It looks pretty awesome.

Mission: Impossible Ghost Protocol - You are a tiny little man, Tom Cruise. And you’re getting old. Stop.

Scrooged - This one was WAY better than Scrooged 2: The Streets.

The Gift - Why hello there, Katie Holmes.

Trading Places - Check out the super advanced technology in this one. It’s awesome.

Four Brothers - Marky Mark, man. Marky Mark. NOT a nice person.

House of Cards - The Netflix original series! Kind of a big deal. You should go get it a chicken sandwich.

Being Human (U.S.) - So a ghost, a werewolf, and a vampire walk into a bar…

He-Man and the Masters of the Universe - He-Man had no comment on the reports of his use of deer antler spray.

Alice in Murderland - Oh, I’m absolutely certain this will be worth your time.

Zombies vs Strippers - My money is on the zombies.

V/H/S - There’s a $1 fee if you don’t rewind this one when you’re finished.

X-Game - I wonder if anyone gets killed with a snowmobile?

Zombie Lake - Y’know, I wouldn’t swim in Zombie Lake. Nope. Sure wouldn’t.

House of Whipcord - “Using her son Mark as bait, Mrs. Wakehurst lures young, attractive women whom she perceives as having loose morals to her home. There, she and her friends disrobe the women and torture them to death.” …………WHAT?

The Sinful Nuns of St. Valentine - “Set during the Inquisition, this erotic horror flick chronicles the story of a depraved abbess and her young novices, who dive into the murky waters of mental illness and carnal lust — with nasty repercussions.” What exactly are the murky waters of mental illness and carnal lust?

Zeta One - “Women around the globe begin disappearing when a renegade race of top-heavy aliens from the planet Angvia begin snatching them off the streets in the hopes of repopulating their planet.” Oh, I get it, Angvia is an anagram for Vagina. Clever.

The Escapees - “After escaping from an insane asylum, two beautiful women — one spunky, the other depressed — fall in with a troupe of erotic dancers and embark on a surreal journey full of violence, burlesque and lesbian hookups.” Sounds like a typical Kerouac Friday night.

Schoolgirl Hitchhikers - “Two comely young hitchhikers with a penchant for lesbian sex become involved with a band of jewel thieves when they enter a seemingly abandoned villa.” Y’know, if you think about it, this is pretty much the plot to Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back.

WWE: CM Punk: Best in the World - BOOOOOOO.

Nacho Libre - Yes, that’s right, this counts.

There you have it PoP!ulation. Spread the word. Tell your friends. And stay up to date on all the releases that happen between now and next month by following our thread in the forums or by following the #Newflix hashtag on Twitter – you’ll get a head start on watching all the newest releases. A quick disclaimer – as some of these titles have just been released this morning, they may not be truly available to watch instantly until later in the day. Or maybe tomorrow. But they’ll be there. And when they’re there, you should watch them.

It's like Mahoney inceptioned a burning desire to watch Ferris Bueller's Day Off into my brain this morning. Because I woke up wanting to watch it, and here it is on Netflix. Magic.

  5. D-Rock says:

I actually watched MI: Ghost Protocol today. I didn’t see the last one so I didn’t understand some references, but I still enjoyed it. I thought the team played well off each other

I LOVE Mission: Impossible – Ghost Protocol. It’s easily my favorite in the series, and it’s also one of my favorite action movie.

There’s not a ton of stuff this month that I’m excited about. I am happy that season 2 of the US Being Human is up. I’ve been waiting to watch that. It’s cool that M:I – Ghost Protocol is up, even though I have it on Blu-ray. Also, it’s nice that the 2002 He-Man show is up even though I have it on DVD.

All the movies in the “I Don’t Even” section will be perfect for the bad movie nights that I do with friends.

    The new format is awesome.
