New Flix on Netflix – December 2012
We all know what Netflix is, but we never know what to watch. Without a great way to keep track of all the new titles available to watch instantly it’s pretty easy to overlook something awesome. But have no fear - Panels On Pages is here to keep you up to date on the coolest New Flix on Netflix.
Holy crap you guys…..it’s December. I may have completely lost track of what day of the month it is, but that doesn’t mean I haven’t been keeping track of what’s available on Netflix. So go ahead, PoP!ulation. Treat yourself. Carve out some time this month in between buying presents for people you don’t like and avoiding your extended family to relax and watch some Netflix. Here’s the best new titles now available for streaming since the last time we talked.
Trekkies - Ew.
Flashdance - She’s a maniac. Maniac. That’s for sure.
Sexy Beast - No, it’s not about Knize, it’s about Ben Kingsley. Well, I guess it’s not ABOUT him.
Identity - A bunch of people are stranded at a motel and stalked by a mysterious killer. I’ll take three.
Bad Boys 2 - Is this the first movie where someone held a gun sideways? I bet it’s the first movie where someone held a gun sideways.
The Medallion - Jackie Chan and Claire Forlani star in People Who Wish The 90s Never Ended!
Half Baked - Bring snacks.
How I Met Your Mother - Man, I wish all of MY jokes came with a laugh track…
Garfield and Friends - This show, man. This show is my jam.
Young Adult - Patton Oswalt and Charlize Theron adopt a teenage troublemaker and have to help him put on the annual Thanksgiving play. Or something like that.
The Aquabats Super Show - This one is for Tony.
Ultimate Spider-Man - Spider-Man, Spider-Man, Ultimate Ultimate Spider-Man.
Being Human (U.K.) - So a ghost, a werewolf, and a vampire walk into a bar. Stop me if you’ve heard this one.
The King’s Speech - BOOOOORING.
Strippers vs Werewolves - What is this. I don’t even.
Hugo - BOOOOORING.
Silent House - Staring the Olsen that they kept locked in a basement for 20 years!
American Horror Story - Just in time for Halloween! No, wait. Just in time for the new season! No….dammit. Better late than never.
Suspense - A pretty cool looking series of shorts, filled with big names.
Voltron: Fleet of Doom - The sequel to Voltron: Burrito of Doom.
In The Name of the King: A Dungeon Siege Tale - If you gave them $1 for every word in their title I bet you’d double their production budget.
Stargate Universe - Remember when Stargate was a thing? Me neither.
The Sarah Silverman Project - Oh Sarah Silverman, why can’t I decide if I hate you or love you?
Sesame Street - I wonder if they’ll use Tickle Me Elmos as the dolls when they make all those kids show them where Kevin Clash touched them.
Footloose - The start of the much less popular ‘Six Degrees of Julianne Hough’ game.
How Stuff Works - Watch this show and you’ll finally understand how stuff works! But not women. You’ll never understand how they work.
There you have it PoP!ulation. Spread the word. Tell your friends. And stay up to date on all the releases that happen between now and next month by following our thread in the forums or by following the #NewFlixOnNetflix hastag on Twitter – you’ll get a head start on watching all the newest releases. Happy viewing!
A quick disclaimer – as some of these titles have just been released this morning, they may not be truly available to watch instantly until later in the day. Or maybe tomorrow. But they’ll be there. And when they’re there, you should watch them.

The only really good ones on this list are The King's Speech and Hugo. I didn't find them boring at all. Young Adult is OK..but forgettable. HIMYM has had it's ups and downs over the years, but overall a funny show. Sarah Silverman Project gets progressively worse as it drags on. I lasted a few episodes into Season 2 and gave up. I added Identity and American Horror Story. Haven't watched either. Also added Flashdance…been a long time so I want to check it out again.
A Netflix reviewer gave Strippers vs Werewolves one star. I don't think she understood the point.
dude trekkies was awesome as was trekkies 2 it was cause of those movies I realized I was a geek and I was okay with that.
