New Flix on Netflix – October 2012
We all know what Netflix is, but we never know what to watch. Without a great way to keep track of all the new titles available to watch instantly it’s pretty easy to overlook something awesome. But have no fear - Panels On Pages is here to keep you up to date on the coolest New Flix on Netflix.
Welcome back, PoP!ulation! Believe it or not, it’s Fall now. I think. I can never remember when the actual first day of a season is, but if you go outside, odds are it’s fall. And, as the new fall seasons roll out on your favorite networks, Netflix is going to overwhelm you with new seasons of their own. Also keep an eye out for the return of the Bond movies, just in time for James Bond Day, and the Pink Panther movies! Not to mention all of this other great stuff…
Follow That Bird - WE DID IT, AMERICA! WE DID IT!
Alias - This show is pretty awesome, if you haven’t seen it, give it a shot!
Enter the Dragon - Do you like kung fu, spies, and super-villain secret islands? Of course you do!
Sherlock - The latest season of this BBC hit.
The Grey - The heartwarming story of a man and his wolves.
Undeclared - Starring that guy from Sons of Anarchy and that other guy who was the Green Hornet. You heard me.
Freaks & Geeks - Starring everyone. Everyone is in this. Everyone. Even your mom.
Dial M for Murder - A classic!
Dumb and Dumber - Worth it just to see the scene where they walk into the party.
Terra Nova - Check it out. Dinosaurs. All up in your face and stuff.
Wild Wild West - Featuring the giant spider made famous by that one Kevin Smith story he just keeps telling over and over again.
Free Willy - Fun fact: Travis used to watch this movie every Thursday night. Why Thursday? You’ll need to ask him.
Free Willy 2: The Adventure Home - Fun fact: Travis has never seen this movie.
My Fellow Americans - Vote Mahoney/Teets, 2013.
Striptease - Now you can be like Ashton Kutcher!
9 1/2 Weeks - Before Mickey Rourke was giving Robert Downey Jr sexy eyes, he was giving them to Kim Basinger.
Space Cowboys - Starring Tommy Lee Jones, Clint Eastwood, and President Obama as Invisible Guy Sitting in that Chair Over There!
Death Wish - Try not to stare at Charles Bronson’s eyes, which he can no longer open fully after a horrible childhood accident. It’s super sad, you guys.
Death Wish 2 - Death wishier.
The Man Who Shot Liberty Valance - Spoiler alert: it wasn’t Liberty Valance.
Every Which Way But Loose - Y’know, I don’t understand why Kerouac doesn’t have an animal sidekick…
Amadeus - The Ape doctor gets his own spin off tale!
Jackass: The Movie - When you’re tired of watching your friends be dumb, you can watch these guys be dumb.
Rain Man - If you think of this as a prequel to Eyes Wide Shut, it’s a much different movie.
The Job - Denis Leary takes a job as a hunter, desperately trying to track down the missing ‘n’ from his name.
A Good Old Fashioned Orgy - Filmed at Reggie’s.
Coriolanus - Some army guy gets kicked out so he trashes his old home? Sure, why not?
How Stuff Works - Impress/bore your friends with all your know-it-allness!
The Roast of Roseanne - Don’t forget to baste her, or the meat will be all dry and gross.
Comic Book Men - Because at least a few of you like to punish yourselves by watching stuff like this. So there you go.
And an insane amount of new TV seasons:
There you have it PoP!ulation. Spread the word. Tell your friends. And stay up to date on all the releases that happen between now and next month by following our thread in the forums or by following the #NewFlixOnNetflix hastag on Twitter – you’ll get a head start on watching all the newest releases. Happy viewing!
A quick disclaimer – as some of these titles have just been released this morning, they may not be truly available to watch instantly until later in the day. Or maybe tomorrow. But they’ll be there. And when they’re there, you should watch them.
