Retailer Privilege Comic Review #12

Due to moving and my internet not being the the most steady as well as not having unpacked all my video and audio gear yet, I couldn’t get a proper video version of Retailer Privilege Comic Review up this week. So instead, I went old school and returned to Twitter with the original format of reading the books and writing about them on Twitter. This time, I’m reading some books here and posting quick, non-spoilery thoughts of them. So, here are some of the comics that I read this week, as well as some books I didn’t read on the Twitter version. So….

Green Lantern #11 – Black Hand is back and having a family dispute. It’s as funny as it is disturbing. Meanwhile, Sinestro still hates Hal Jordan. Pretty steady issue. Nothing out of the ordinary.

The Manhattan Project #5 – Continuing to be a science fan’s dream comic. Also, the stick or the belt is the biggest and most important question you could have to answer.

Debris #1 – Issue number one of this Image book is a near future, sci-fi action story. Trash monsters, warrior heroes with guns and becoming a savor for people. You know, that old chestnut. Ok for a first issue.

Winter Soldier #8 – Bucky socks people. A lot. It’s what he does. Plots involving brainwashing always end well. Digging this book still.

Secret Avengers 29 – Pretty standard issue. Evil plots. Clowns. And Taskmaster in a strip club. That’s all I can say. Also, the cover of this book was drawn by Sir Mix A Lot, apparently….

Axe Cop: President of the World #1 – “For nights, Axe Cop had been having recurring nightmares about a talking gorilla. Talking gorillas had always been his greatest fear.” – Quote from the FIRST page of this book!! Read this book. Amazing!!

That’s all for this week. Hopefully, I’ll be back with a video next week. Until then, be sure to check the Twitter Hashtag “RPCR” and “RetailerPrivilegeComicReview” for more comics reviewed this week. Thanks for reading.
