New Flix on Netflix – August 2012
We all know what Netflix is, but we never know what to watch. Without a great way to keep track of all the new titles available to watch instantly it’s pretty easy to overlook something awesome. But have no fear - Panels On Pages is here to keep you up to date on the coolest New Flix on Netflix.

Breaking Bad - Now you can catch up on season 4, just in time for the new season!
Captain America: The First Avenger - When you’re done watching The Dark Knight Rises, re-watch the other awesome movie Kerouac didn’t like.
Superman II - In case you ever wondered why your Dad always made your Mom call him Zod…
With Great Power: The Stan Lee Story - Guess what? The Kirby family doesn’t get any cash from this, either.
The Avengers - There is not nearly enough Hawkeye in this movie.
Neverland - This British take on the Peter Pan archetype has some solid reviews. Give it a shot.
Crash – Featuring Luda “Chris Bridges” Cris in one of his early roles.
Crash (TV) – Featuring his cousin, Rickdiculous.
Abraham Lincoln vs. Zombies - Lincoln was one busy President, huh?
Creepshow - The classic horror anthology!
The Relic – The prequel to the Night at the Museum movies.
The Hauting of Julia – Mia Farrow stars as a young woman who moves into a house only to be terrorized by a creepy older guy who eventually marries their daughter.
Dracula: Dead and Loving It - Is this the one with Monica Bellucci in it? Maybe?
How to Train Your Dragon Legends - This is probably not very good, but who knows?
Heartbreakers - Starring Jennifer Love Hewitt‘s body.
A Fish Called Wanda - Now you know what to name your Billy the Big Mouth Bass plaque.
Empire Records - It’s that movie everyone loves! With that line people say! Y’know, that one!
The Sweetest Thing – What? You DON’T want to watch the fire department try to un-stick her boyfriend from Selma Blair‘s mouth?
Monty Python’s The Meaning of Life - Spoiler alert: it’s beans.
Funny Farm - Before he was being an asshole on the set of Community, Chevy Chase was being an asshole on the set of Funny Farm.
National Security - Steve Zahn doesn’t get enough appreciation for his role in Saving Silverman.
Monkey Trouble - It’s a movie starring a monkey! Bring your kids! I hope it’s got Joey from Friends in it!
Arthur - The original one, before Russel Brand remade it as the story of his current life.
Small Soldiers - Admit it, you wish your toys would come to life. ADMIT IT!
Platoon - Charlie Sheen bleeds so much tiger blood in this movie.
Sphere - Look for the sequel Rhombus, coming to streaming next month.
The Day of the Jackal - It’s one of those old time-y actiony pactiony rollco movies.
Demolition Man - Raise you hand if you’ve successfully used the three seashell method.
Disclosure - I bet Demi Moore‘s character referred to Michael Douglas‘ character as “number 13″ on her podcast.
Sabrina - Oh man you guys, Audrey Hepburn‘s magic talking cat is HILARIOUS.
Driving Miss Daisy - This movie paved the way for this classic film moment.
High Noon - Insert your own Sergio Leone whistle here.
Risky Business - Of course Tom Cruise doesn’t wear pants, he’s home alone. Like YOU wear pants when YOU’RE home alone.
Bonnie & Clyde - The live action version of Warner Bros‘ Bunny & Claude cartoon.
Little Shop of Horrors - It’s a giant man eating plant. What’s not to love?
Battlefield Earth - This is the true story of seven Scientologists, picked to live in a Battlefield Earth, and have their lives taped, to find out what happens when movies stop being good, and start being terrible.
The Pledge - Sweet mustache, Jack Nicholson.
In the Land of Blood and Honey - Written and directed by Angelina Jolie. Because, y’know, why not?
White Christmas - This was the only kind of Christmas allowed in the Knize household.
Buck Rogers in the 25th Century
Capote - For those of you who pretend to be cultured. You know who you are.
Warehouse 13 - This favorite of PoP!ulation members @SexyToaster and @Gojiratoho adds another season
Alphas - PoP!Corn host Justin says this show is awesome. He also loves everything. EVERYTHING.
Hell on Wheels - Watching this show is like almost exactly how I picture it would be if I watched a railroad be built.
Prime Suspect – Hellen Mirren was in a television show???
10 Items or Less - You may remember having seen commercials for this when you were watching Family Guy re-runs.
Merlin - Man, I wish Merlin fought dinosaurs in this movie.
Merlin’s Apprentice - Spoiler alert: the apprentice isn’t sure if they want to be a wizard. No, I haven’t seen it, I just assume that’s what it’s about.
Alice - Stepping out of the Brady’s shadow, everyone’s favorite maid gets her own miniseries.

I am going to re watch the heck out of Small Soldiers.
I thought for sure it was going to be a Christmas Tree joke, but it ended up being a “my parents are racist” joke. KU-DOS.
I know not many in the PoP!ulation are sports fans but for those who are and for those who are interested in solid documentaries the ESPN 30 for 30 series is on.
A lot of great documentaries covering various athletes and events in sports history.
