Knowing is half the battle. The other half, one would assume, is Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson laying the smackdown and putting #BootstoAsses as Roadblock in the sequel to 2009′s G.I. Joe: Rise of Cobra. Oh yeah, Channing Tatum, Bruce Willis, and Adrianne Palicki are in there, too. Jon Chu (Step Up 3D) directs the script by Zombieland scribes Rhett Reese & Paul Wernick.

I liked the first movie. I won’t say it was good, but I liked it. This one looks a thousand times better.
This movie’s only flaw appears to be the fact that it’s the sequel to the first one. Adrianne Palicki appears to be playing Cover Girl, but she can’t be Cover Girl, because she died in the first one, so she’s Lady Jaye. Even though she’s a redhead heavy machine gunner with undercover skills. Similarly, the forced absence of other characters because the first film stepped on them is a damn shame. Still… this looks slick and I’m excited. THIS is the GI Joe movie I’ve been waiting for. Now, Chuwanna make me a Transformers movie while you’re at it?
What Chuwanna see another Transformers movie for?
I’m just saying I’d Chus to see his version over Michael Bay’s any day
The first GI Joe movie was quite possibly one of the worst movies of the modern era. I’ve seen better acting and plots in porno movies. Hopefully this sequel fixes all that was wrong with the first one.
That trailer is officially better than the entire first movie.
I kind of dug the first flick in a weird way, but this looks great. So they’re killing most of the people from the first one? (Without having them on screen probably)
Dubstep is terrible, please stay away from The White Stripes.
Let’s break this down…
I was immediately suspicious by the weird walking they’re doing along the mountain top. What is that? Who walks like that?
Anyway, I was also kind of eye-rolling the thing that every action movie trailer is doing now, the slow motion action cuts with the staticy dubstep noises. That’s weird.
BUT the idea that Tatum and the rest of the faceless masses that were in the ridiculous Pit and it’s goddamn water level getting killed off right from jump street is kind of amazing. If that’s the case I kind of wished they hadn’t been so explicit in saying that as it’d have been a hell of a surprise in the theater.
Then again, my desire to see the movie goes up a thousand fold without those nitwits in it.
Hey, do you think those are SAW Vipers wiping out all those guys? Because that’d be awesome.
It looks rad, but then again so did a bunch of other movies that turned out to be garbage. Is Joseph Gordon Leavitt/Combra Commander in this or is it just the Zartan show? What about Destro or Baroness? I guess I’m okay with none of them being around given how mind-numbingly stupid every story with everyone of those characters were, but Zartan wasn’t really any better. Granted, you kind of have to have him in it, but still.
Fingers crossed…
Cobra Commander is in (from what I can tell, that’s him in the trailer), but JGL is out, no Destro or Baroness, but Storm Shadow, Firefly, and Zartan will be running a muck.

also, anyone else think The Rock looks scarier when he’s smiling than when actually trying to look scary?
I am getting more and more stoked for this movie. I may be alone in this, but I hope that Duke doesn’t die. Him getting captured by Cobra would make sense given his relationship with Cobra Commander (yes, I know people hate that and are probably hoping it isn’t touched upon in the movie), and it would explain his absence in the majority of the trailer.

I hope we get another chase scene with Cobra in this decked out SUV and the Joe’s chasing them in a Dodge Sprinter.
While I don’t particularly want Duke to die, I DO want him to take a back seat, and I DON’T want the friendship with CC touched upon. That likely means taking him out of play all together, and I’m pretty much okay with that.
