New Flix on Netflix – December 2011

We all know what Netflix is, but we never know what to watch. Without a great way to keep track of all the new titles available to watch instantly it’s pretty easy to overlook something awesome. But have no fear – Panels On Pages is here to keep you up to date on the coolest New Flix on Netflix.

It’s here! The first of the month! The day when Netflix releases the majority of their new movies to their instant service. Now, if you’ve used Netflix before, you’ve probably realized that their Browse feature leaves something to be desired. But don’t worry, I’ve mastered a technique that makes sure I’m always up to date on the awesome new releases, and I’m here to share the wealth.

Anyways, without further delay, here’s a handy list of the awesome titles that are now available to watch instantly:

Burn Notice - now anyone can have long distance Burn Notice viewing parties with Kerouac!

White Collar - from the makers of Burn Notice. Or not. I’m not really sure. Probably.

King Arthur and the Knights of Justice - ohhhhhhhhh snap! I know what I’m doing this weekend.

How I Met Your Mother - insert your own joke from the show here, people who watch it.

Spaced - with Simon Pegg. Or 4 Simon Peg, if you’re on the vintage PrincessCast.

The Christmas ToyHoly Crap! Remember Jim Henson’s The Christmas Toy?

America’s Funniest Home Videos – America. America. This is you.

Terriers – the critically acclaimed FX series that got cancelled too soon.

Goldeneye - For England, Alec.

Tomorrow Never Dies – For Teri Hatcher, Alec.

The World is Not Enough – The last good one before the relaunch.

Bond Girls Are Forever – If you re-wrote Diamonds are Forever as Bond Girls are Forever….yikes.

Ninja Turtles: The Next Mutation – Live. Action. Ninja. Turtles.

Dylan Dog: Dead of Night – it’s based on a comic and stars Brandon Routh, but I bet he throws at least 1 punch this time.

Edward Scissorhands - for those days when you’re just not depressed enough.

Never Been Kissed – this one’s for you, Brandon of So You Think You Know!

The Siege – further proof that Bruce Willis could have prevented 9/11…if he wasn’t drunk at the time.

Limitless - ooh! Isn’t that the one where the guy becomes limitless?

Take Me Home Tonight – how did so many funny people make such a crappy movie?

Scarface - frat boys everywhere rejoice!

There you have it PoP!ulation. Spread the word. Tell your friends. Happy viewing!

A quick disclaimer – as some of these titles have just been released this morning, they may not be truly available to watch instantly until later in the day. Or maybe tomorrow. But they’ll be there. And when they’re there, you should watch them.

I’m very interested in checking out Terriers, which I’ve heard nothing but great things about. Now if Netflix could hurry up and get Always Sunny and the most recent seasons of Sons of Anarchy and The League up on Instant. Also, sweet…I can watch Spaced again!

  2. nubbins says:

Mahoney you are defiantly the MAN! Now my Instant Que just grew. I don’t know if that is a good or bad thing. I will let you know. But this is a brilliant Idea, thank you for putting the good stuffs in one place!

  3. AKA Brandon says:

Thanks for the heads up Mahoney.

  4. Take Me Home Tonight WAS terrible. THANK YOU! Limitless was kind of cool, though. And it looks like I’ll finally be watching Goldeneye…

    • Dan Mahoney says:

Limitless was meh – but I do enjoy the scene of him drinking the limitless pills out of the other guy’s blood, if for no other reason than I feel like it would make Spazzy’s head explode.

  5. Tito Cruz says:

I didn’t know Scarface was a thing with frat boys. I know it’s a thing for wanna be gangsters and drug dealers. I love how these rappers and gangsters try to emulate Tony Montana. I guess they forget how the movie ends.

  6. MDG says:

I get to watch Burn Notice from the begining again! AWESOME!

Also, we all know how the ending of Scarface goes. But people tend to stop watching it after he made all da muney chico.
