Sam Jackson’s ‘Avengers’ Script Stolen, Production Halted
Obsessed With Film was contacted last weekend by an anonymous source claiming to possess the April 8th shooting script of Joss Whedon’s The Avengers. The source would then provide photographic evidence of the script in hand, watermarked with actor Samuel L. Jackson’s (Nick Fury) name and the Marvel seal of approval (also, it’s the one that says Bad Motherf—er on it).
The cover page of the script is entitled Group Hug, a Blue Harvest-y production title meant to keep the high-profile superhero crossover tentpole on the downlow, and one of the story pages teases a Hulk-transformation scene featuring Black Widow and Bruce Banner, and an Iron Man/Cap team-up.
The anonymous source offered the exclusivity of the sole hard-copy of the script in a follow-up email:
I have one hard copy that I am looking to sell and I will not be making any copies, therefore exclusivity is guaranteed.
Considering that the release of The Avengers is over a year away this script should generate a substantial amount of traffic for the website that acquires it.

I really hope that this theif does not profit on this. I am pretty sure someone will pay for this script, but it will be a site I wont visit. It is in poor form.
This kind of stuff pisses me off! Now we’ll have to deal with plot details being all over the internet spoiling the movie. Such bullshit.
Marvel now denying that production has been halted.
