I dropped the Mark piece because he asked. That’s it. I didn’t speak to anyone else at Wizard about it.
The only story from POP of late that’s been used on BC was the Michael Turner Tribute Book piece that I’m aware of, with full credits and links. Hardly trolling the board.
Anything else?
There was another bit with Scott Kurtz a few weeks ago that to be fair was misrepresented as having been “reported at Panels on Pages.” Don’t get me wrong. I don’t mind at all. I for one appreciate the e-ink. And the Turner story needed to happen. I don’t blame you.
Most stories I pursue on Bleeding Cool outside of the runarounds, come from original research and tips sent in. But if there is a decent story on PoP, then damn it I’m going to use it! Feel free to send links across… richjohnston@gmail.com
Rich, I don’t know if you’re just playing coy, or if you really don’t get it, but let me spell this out for you one more time.
The beef we have is that you quoted a poster on our forum and referred to it as being “reported at Panels On Pages”. There’s a difference between us posting a story on the main page, and a forum user making a comment in a thread on our boards, and if you’re actually claiming that you can’t identify the difference, then there’s nothing we can say about your accumen as a jounalist that you aren’t already saying yourself.
And, I find it funny, Rich, that you removed the comments from Haverty simply because you were asked, while I sent an e-mail requesting you change or alter the aforementioned “credit” and nothing’s been done on that end.
Tell me, if I go and reply to one of your topics saying that “Gareb Shamus died today from massive anal leakage,” can I then run the story on PoP! and credit it as having been reported on Bleeding Cool?
Not to mention, you left off (I have to assume intentionally, for shock value) the part AFTER our forum member’s quote where he said “or something to that effect.” This means that the quote may not have been 100% accurate. To then re-quote it, sans qualifier, is simply disingenuous.
Gareb Shamus died from massive anal leakage!? HOLY SHIT!
Kerouac, did you watch Saw 5 and 6 then? I’m a bit of a Saw freak myself so I’m interested to hear what you thought of them.
Watched V yesterday. It sucks. There’s really not much of a twist. I’d figured out pretty much everything fairly early on. Haven’t seen VI yet, will likely wait for the rental after the disappointment of V.
I’d say if I had to rank them favorite to least, it’d go 2, 1, 3, 4, 5 thus far.
I felt the same about 5. I ended up seeing 6 on Halloween.. it is SO MUCH better than 5. If you have a cheapy theater in your area I’d recommend catching it there.
Sadly, I don’t. Nor any friends around who like the series, either. Glad to hear it was better, though. I was really disappointed by 5, and actually find myself eagerly anticipating 6 and any and all future installments, as well.
You might still be able to find 6 in regular theaters…it’s only a couple of weeks old…and still in the Top 10.
Right, but again, my issue is not wanting to spend 10 bucks to go see a movie alone. You wanna fly up and be my date, big boy?
Have Kristin go see it and you two can have another phone date!
