Okay, enough of the silliness, now it’s time to play hardball!
PoP!: We may as well address the elephant in the room right away. You work in the adult entertainment industry. It’s safe to say that our readers would be interested to know if you’re a rarity or if there are more of our geeky brethren in the business. Do you get to talk geekness with your co-workers?
Angelina: No, not really. I’m sure there are some geeks, but it seems they pretty much keep it on the D/L. I’m pretty outgoing and proud of my geekiness. On my MySpace you can see pictures of me rocking my Hulk gloves. I have no shame. LOL
PoP!: You had your first trip to San Diego Comic-Con this year. What was the coolest part of that experience?
Angelina: Donating blood and giving back to the people as I was having a good time was great. I loved everything about it. The coolest part was meeting Robert Englund and taking a picture with him. I had so much fun. He’s really funny.
PoP!: Aside from your geekness, you’re something of a horror buff, too. Which of the classic franchises is your favorite?
Angelina: All the Halloween movies are my favorite except for Season of the Witch and Resurrection. I’m a huge Michael Myers fan.
PoP!: What do you think about the recent crop of remakes?
Angelina: Some are decent while others are just bad. I love the remake of My Bloody Valentine in 3-D.
PoP!: You’re pretty active with the FSC (Free Speech Coalition). Why is this such a worthy cause for you?
Angelina: I care deeply about my industry. Without free speech we cannot succeed in this business or any other business for that matter. It’s basically the industry’s watchdog. The FSC protects our industry’s first amendment rights. Without being so on top of this matter, porn would be in serious trouble and most likely collapse. I am involved with that as much as possible. The FSC pictures posted on my MySpace are from my most recent event, which was a fundraiser. The FSC raised well over $8,000 that night in about 3 hours. It’s a pretty serious matter in which I try my absolute best to broaden the industry’s mind especially when it comes to their legal rights. There’s nothing better than protecting the industry you are involved in.
PoP!: You do some writing for Genesis online, too, I see. What sort of stuff can folks expect from “The Armani Watch“? (Note: NSFW)
Angelina: You can catch my latest movie reviews on there. I write mostly about horror movies. It’s what I enjoy.
PoP!: What’s been the reaction so far to your feature debut, The Big Hit?
Angelina: People love it. It’s a pretty intense film. Who doesn’t love to see a pretty girl having sex with guns in her hand? LOL.
PoP!: What’s coming next on the movie front?
Angelina: I have three new movies on the horizon. Not Monday Night Football XXX (All Media Play) comes out September 9; Teachers (Digital Playground) arrives on September 22; and the big one, Angelina Armani: Overcome, hits October 13!
PoP!: What are your current Fangirl obsessions?
Angelina: The new Harley Quinn from the Arkham Asylum game is currently my obsession. I really love how dominant she is. It reminds me of…me.
PoP!: What is the most Fangirl-ish thing you’ve ever done?
Angelina: I waited in line for three hours for the screening of Friday The 13th. It was so cold and when I got to the front of the line they sold out.
PoP!: What has been your biggest Geek-Out Moment?
Angelina: It was watching Wes Craven do a live commentary over A Nightmare on Elm Street in Santa Monica earlier this year.
PoP!: How has being a Fangirl affected other aspects of your life?
Angelina: Being a fangirl has definitely broadened my fan base. Right from the beginning I have always made it known that I loved the horror genre and as people saw that I was legitimately interested in it so they could relate. It is really humanizing me because people see porn stars just as a fantasy not really thinking that I could be standing next to them at Comic-Con or Fangoria.
